Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British and American sitar player. She also plays music. She was the youngest and the first woman to be awarded the British House of Commons Shield she's received 9 Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian origin to play live in concert and serve as a presenter at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shakar, a young rising singer on Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She is a student and child of Ravi Shankar. Born in 1982, she was raised in London. Her childhood years were spent in London in London and New Delhi. In New Delhi, she made her debut when she was only thirteen years old. Later, in Encinitas CA she attended high school. She graduated with distinction in the year 1999. Anouskha even though she is just an teen, has enjoyed an impressive recording and performing career. Her father has accompanied her in many performances for several years. She released her debut solo album Anourag in the year 1998. It was followed by the album Live At Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album two years later. Stage performance is a important aspect of her life. She has performed in a variety of famous venues around the globe. Anoushka Shankar's professional life isn't restricted to just music.
